Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. I went to this store hoping to find something new and different to my surprise they had a hot bar excited me went over to the bar and immediately spotted something I wanted to try and I was met with the most disrespectful service all because I asked for a small size to go of their pork. The lady with the glasses was so rude to me saying a small size is $13.99 she even turned to her coworkers and spoke in their language. If you guys don’t sell meat only as a side it costs you nothing to be kind enough to explain it instead of being rude and insulting!

I stopped by New Asia Market recently and overall had a pretty good experience. They have a wide selection of Asian groceries, especially snacks, sauces, and fresh vegetables that are hard to find elsewhere. I was able to find most of what I needed in one trip. The store does get a bit busy, and some aisles felt a little tight and not very organized. It wasn’t bad, just something I noticed while shopping. Prices were reasonable, and the checkout process was smooth. Staff didn’t interact much, but everything went fine. I’d still come back when I need Asian ingredients — solid 4 stars.

Have a great hotbar (pick 3 items with rice) for lunch/dinner. Very fresh and great price.

Astounding selection of great teas, foods, spices, meats and pastries. What an honor it was to explore and find treats at. The staff was present, area was clean and there was a great place to eat up front.

Why we never knew this before, I don’t know! But I’m so glad to find this Grand/New Asia market. They have another branch in Raleigh, which is our favorite place to go for fresh seafood and veggies. And this one didn’t disappoint. Now this is our go-to grocery for fresh seafood. What I like about some vegetables here is that I can choose by piece, unlike other Asian groceries where they are all wrapped. Highly recommended! We are not bothered by the elderly attendant here, unlike what others were saying, because it’s much worse at other stores. Hoping they will have more customers so they can stockpile more kinds of groceries like in Raleigh. They have fresh bakery as well which we loved so much and Chinese food that’s really affordable and so good.
